Assistant Principal - Mission
As we step into 2025, we are blessed to celebrate a Jubilee Year, a special season of renewal, grace, and spiritual growth. Declared by Pope Francis, this Jubilee carries the theme Pilgrims of Hope, reminding us of God’s unending love and the promise of new beginnings.
Led by Father Joy, our recent whole school Commencement Mass beautifully set the tone for this year of hope. Together, as a faith-filled community, we reflected on how hope strengthens us in times of challenge and inspires us to trust in God’s loving care. Throughout this Jubilee Year, we are called to embody hope in our daily lives - through acts of kindness, deepening our faith, and serving others with compassion. Just as past Jubilee Years have been moments of spiritual renewal, we are invited to make this a year of reconnection: with God, with one another, and with the mission of the Church.
Let us journey through 2025 as Pilgrims of Hope, with hearts open to the grace of hope. May we embrace this sacred time as an opportunity to strengthen our faith, inspire those around us, and trust in the Lord’s guiding light with the knowledge that no matter what, He will never fail us.
“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

As we begin this new academic year, we also extend a warm welcome to two new staff members joining our Mission Team. Mr Matthew Quinton joins us from St. Kevin’s College in Victoria as a Catholic Studies teacher, and Mr Oliver Dwyer takes on the role of our new College Youth Minister - we welcome them both to our community with open hearts and look forward to seeing the fruit of their gifts and talents as they enrich our school and inspire our students in their faith journeys.
We also see some changes in roles this year - Mrs Janine Sawtell has taken on the role of Leader of Catechesis, and Mrs Sarah de Byl is now our Leader of School Evangelisation. We wish them well in their new roles - may they be blessed in their work as they support and guide us in faith and service.
