Welcome to the 2025 Pastoral Team
On behalf of the SJPC Pastoral Team, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to everyone as we embark on a new academic year – 2025! We hope that all families had a restful and rejuvenating break, filled with joy, laughter, and quality time with loved ones. Whether you travelled far and wide or enjoyed the simple pleasures of Coffs Harbour and surrounds, we trust all our students are returning to St John Paul College feeling refreshed and ready to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead this year.
As the Pastoral care team, we are excited to support each and every student throughout 2025. We're committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive. The Leaders of Student Wellbeing and Counsellors will be working hard to promote wellbeing initiatives, build resilience, and nurture positive relationships within our community throughout the year and we encourage students and carers to reach out to us whenever they need support, guidance, or simply a friendly chat. We're here for the community.
This year has seen the growth of the department with the College’s increasing its commitment to pastoral care. The addition of new, assistant Leaders of Student Wellbeing, means that students and families have additional contacts when issues may arise.

Year 9 - Mark Sultana/ Elise Cox
Year 10 - Richard O’Connor / Anneliese Mills

The Pastoral Team welcomes Mrs Samantha Richardson to the role of Student Wellbeing Officer and ‘Sam’ as she’s become known to the students, has made a great start to the year and has fitted in straight away, working with our students.
We look forward to a fantastic year filled with learning, growth, and connection and we’re all looking forward to a happy and healthy 2025 for the entire St John Paul College community!
